APPG on Extraordinary Rendition

ISC Chairman Kim Howells MP writes an open letter to Human Rights Watch about the Binyam Mohamed case, his Committee's investigations and concerns about the ISC's independence.

Andrew Tyrie writes to the Defence Committee about MOD policy, detainee handovers by UK Forces, and the two confirmed cases in which individuals captured by UK Forces and handed over to US detention were subsequently transferred from Iraq to Afghanistan.

The APPG made a submission to the Foreign Affairs Committee's (FAC) Global Security: UK-US Relations Inquiry about rendition and related issues.

Andrew Tyrie wrote to the Intelligence and Security Committee about its scrutiny of rendition, and specifically the case of Binyam Mohamed and Diego Garcia.

The APPG receives a letter from the Defence Committee in response to the APPG's letter of 25 March 2009.  The Committee attached a response from the MOD to the concerns raised by the APPG in its letter.
