The APPG writes to Foreign Secretary William Hague to express concern about media reports that the inquiry will have a narrow focus and to underline the minimum requirements for an independent and effective inquiry.
The APPG writes to the Foreign Secretary, providing him with the legal opinion published today on an inquiry into extraordinary rendition. The opinion concludes that there are no legal barriers to immediately establishing an inquiry, should he wish to do so.

FCO Minister Ivan Lewis MP wrote to the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Human Rights (JCHR) about British nationals detained in Pakistan, following the JCHR's recent report on Allegations of UK Complicity in Torture.  He copied his letter to Andrew Tyrie.
The APPG writes to the Foreign Secretary, inviting him to exercise his discretion and disclose information to the Group following an earlier FOIA request.  The previous correspondence on this can be found on this website.
